“FBI now classifies far-right Proud Boys as ‘Extremist Group’, documents say” reads The Guardian’s article, published on November 19th. Making claims of “ties to white nationalism” and “misogyny and glorifying violence”, Guardian really takes the cake in the fake news assault on the men’s fraternity. In a story not even reported by the likes of CNN and NBC, the publisher cites the highly discredited SPLC (Southern Poverty Law Center) who have classified the Proud Boys as a “hate group” bogusly and Michael McCabe, the Clark County Sheriff’s department’s headquarters commander. Erin Wilely, a former Clark County Deputy in Washington was fired for having ties to the women’s branch of the Proud Boys, Proud Boys’ Girls. Realizing that this was a very bad reason to fire a Deputy and that the Sheriffs office had caved into numerous ANTIFA threats sent to their office, the men watching over Clark County decided that the better publicity would be to blame it on the Proud Boys themselves and create a fake story about an FBI classification.
A few problems here. For starters, the FBI does not ”classify” hate groups nor extremists. Secondly, a brief search of the FBI’s website will bring up absolutely nothing about the Proud Boys, don’t believe me? Go and search it up right now. Also, if the FBI had truly classified the Proud Boys as a extremist organization, we would not be writing these articles right now. We would not be able to even meet up, show our faces to the public, let alone exist if we were an FBI “extremist group”.
The only group to truly classify the Proud Boys as a “hate group” is the SPLC, who have been losing much credibility in recent years. After classifying former Islamic extremist Maajid Nawaz as an “anti-muslim extremist” they settled in court for 3.375 million. If these are the people who are classifying the Proud Boys as a “hate group”, who are happy to put the title on anyone, then it should come as no surprise to anyone that among the Proud Boys core tenets are “Anti-Racism”. A lot can be told of someone by their enemies. That’s the story here, not an FBI hoax, but the fact that one was pulled to cover for another victim of an Antifa dox and further tarnish the name of the Proud Boys.
